• Man detained on gun charges after Villa Park car chase (dailyherald.com) — Police say a Chicago man is being held after allegedly fleeing Villa Park officers at over 100 mph and crashing following a tire deflation on I-290, where a loaded handgun was reportedly recovered from the driver's seat. The case is being handled by DuPage County prosecutors, and the defendant is scheduled for a September 14 court date.
