$1,400 Scooter Stolen In Western Springs: Cops

Police also reported instances of residents being victims of identity theft.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – Western Springs police released their latest blotter Thursday. Here is information from the reports:

  • A person's scooter was stolen May 5 from a bicycle rack at Burlington and Grand. It was valued at $1,400.
  • Jose L. Robledo-Marin, 41, of Chicago, was cited about 11 a.m. May 5 on charges of driving with no license and driving a vehicle with a suspended registration for no insurance. He was released on bond.
  • A resident in the 6000 block of Flagg Creek Lane told police May 1 that someone tried to open a line of credit using her personal information.
  • A resident in the 5000 block of Woodland Avenue told police May 1 that a utility account was opened in his name. A bill for more than $900 was sent to collections.
