Lyons Township High School students in Katy Newcomb’s American Studies class simulated the roaring 20’s with a culminating project for a 1920s unit. Students read The Great Gatsby and studied the history of the period. Students played the roles of historical characters from the period and developed skits in small groups that focused on the controversial issues of that time.
