$499K Attempted Fraud In Western Springs: Cops
In another case, employees at a local business reported fraudulent use of their credit cards, police said.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – Western Springs police have released their latest blotter. Here is information from the reports:
- A resident in the 4000 block of Western Avenue told police Friday that someone tried to write a check from his home equity line of credit for $499,000.
- Several employees of a business in the 4700 block of Commonwealth Avenue on Friday reported fraudulent activity on their credit cards. Police did name the business. The two businesses in the block are VCA Boone Animal Hospital and Bright Horizons day care center.
- A resident in the 900 block of Walnut Avenue told police Friday that someone fraudulently used his debit card number. Six charges totaled $287.
