WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – In recent days, Western Springs has handled cases involving a stolen gun, threats and a DUI. Here is information from the reports:
Stolen gun
Someone burglarized an unlocked car at a house in the 3900 block of Ellington Avenue. A gun valued at $250 was stolen. The burglary was reported about 9 a.m. on the Fourth of July.
A resident in the 5500 block of Heritage Court received multiple threatening text messages and phone calls. The resident reported the messages June 23. The police labeled the crime simple assault.
DUI
A 31-year-old Hammond, Indiana, man was arrested about 7 p.m. June 26 at Ogden and Central avenues on a DUI charge. Police said they were called to the area about a suspicious person and car.
