Western Springs Still On Low Side With DUI Arrest Rate

An anti-DUI group examined drunken-driving statistics in towns across the state.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – The Western Springs Police Department's DUI arrest rate is considerably lower than that of comparable towns in the area, according to a new study.

In 2025, Western Springs counted seven DUI arrests, which works out to 0.4 per officer, according to the Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorists. That compares to four the previous year.
