Western Springs Man Accused Of Domestic Battery

It was the last local domestic battery arrest in town since a man fired a gun during a dinner party, police said.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – Western Springs police said they responded to a domestic disturbance about 5 p.m. Sept. 7 in a local neighborhood.

They said they charged a 27-year-old man who lives in the 3800 block of Woodland Avenue with domestic battery.

Domestic battery arrests are rare in Western Springs. The last reported one was in October.

At the time, police charged Joel D. Sible, 56, who lives in the 5700 block of Lawn Drive, with felony reckless discharge of a firearm and domestic battery, according to a report.

He was accused of attacking a woman and firing a gun during a dinner party, police said.
