• Western Springs Man Accused Of Domestic Battery (patch.com) — Western Springs police recently responded to a Sept. 7 domestic disturbance and charged a 27-year-old Woodland Avenue resident with domestic battery, an uncommon crime in town. Officers noted the last such arrest was in October, when another Western Springs man was charged with felony reckless discharge of a firearm and domestic battery after an alleged attack during a dinner party.
