At the Western Springs Music Club program, organist, James Winfield, shared information about the inner workings of the organ – how sounds are made with the help of stops, keyboard, and pedals. He played music from J.S. Bach and William Walond to point out the different functions.
Mr. Winfield, playing the piano, then accompanied Mezzo Soprano, Peggy Barber, and Soprano, Joan Strom singing three duets by Henry Purcell.
Jason Deroche (guitar), Sherri Deroche (violin), and Victoria Holland (guest Soprano) performed music from the 18th century by Fernando Ferandiere and Antonio Guerrero. The program ended with Jason Deroche performing music from the 17th century by Scarlatti and Weiss.
