In another case, a resident was out $11,000 in a phone scam, police said.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – Western Springs police released their latest blotter Monday. Here is information from the reports:

Armed road rage

  • Roberto Carlos, 22, of Cicero, was arrested Thursday on a charge of unlawful use of a weapon. Police said he displayed a weapon in a road rage incident at Ogden and Howard avenues.

Scam

  • A resident in the 5900 block of Parkview Drive told police April 5 that he was the victim of a phone scam that cost him $11,000.

Identity theft

  • A resident in the 5300 block of Grand Avenue told police April 1 that he left his phone and debit card on a ride-share on Jan. 27. He was later notified by his bank of multiple charges to his bank account. The loss is $2,951.

  • Someone added an unknown substance to a piece of equipment overnight Thursday at Ogden Avenue and Interstate 294. The damage was estimated at $25,000.
