Arrested At LTHS: 4 Teens Charged In 1 Week

Western Springs police report four separate incidents at the school from Feb. 8 until Feb. 14.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — Police have made several citations at Lyons Township High School South in recent days. The school at 4900 Willow Springs Road in Western Springs was listed as the location for four police calls from Feb. 8 until Feb. 14. All cited in these incidents are minors.

Western Springs police report the following incidents at the school that week:

Feb. 8 at 9:25 a.m.: A 15-year-old girl from Brookfield was cited for possession of tobacco, electronic cigarettes, and/or vaping device by a minor. Police said she was in possession of a vaping device.

Feb. 8 at 12:38 p.m.: A 15-year-old girl from Hodgkins was arrested on charges of battery and resisting/obstructing an officer. Police say she resisted the officer after an altercation at the school.

Feb. 11 at 7:42 a.m.: A 15-year-old girl from Brookfield was arrested for battery after an altercation, according to police.

Feb. 14 at 10 a.m.: A 16-year-old boy from Western Springs was cited for possession of tobacco, electronic cigarettes, and/or vaping device by a minor. Police say he was in possession of a vaping device.
