Author shares experience with LTHS students

Lyons Township High School World Perspectives class, team taught by Nicole Lombardi, Cynthia Adamson and Bill Wesley, recently hosted award-winning author Reyna Grande to talk to students. She wrote Distance Between Us, a memoir in the LT curriculum about life before and after illegally immigrating from Mexico to the United States. Grande shared her stories of immigration, family trauma and the healing power of writing.
