Battery, Underage Drinking: Western Springs Cops
A teenager is accused of battery at a local park, police said.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – Western Springs police released their latest blotter Tuesday. Here is information from the reports:
Battery
- A 17-year-old boy of Countryside was charged about 1 p.m. Friday with battery. He was accused of being involved in an incident May 26 at Spring Rock Park in the 4400 block of Central Avenue. No injuries were reported.
Underage drinking

- Two 15-year-old boys from Western Springs were charged about 8:30 p.m. May 28 with being minors in possession of alcohol. This was after police received a report of drinking at Laidlaw Park in the 4100 block of Hampton Avenue.
- A 16-year-old boy from Indian Head Park was charged about 8:30 p.m. May 28 with being a minor in possession of alcohol. The incident was in the 1200 block of Chestnut Street. Alcohol was found in the boy's backpack.
Theft
- A boy's bicycle was reported stolen Friday from a garage in the 4100 block of Forest Avenue. It was believed to have happened the previous weekend. The bike was worth about $500.
