Be Ready for Western Springs Snow Rules
Forecast says there is a 60 percent chance of snow in Western Springs.
WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — This is the snowstorm that may not happen, but just in case, it's probably a good time to remind Western Springs residents of snow parking rules.
In Western Springs, it is illegal to park on any street for 12 hours after a snowfall after 2 or more inches. Clear streets allow village staff to salt and later plow when snow accumulates beyond two inches, according to the village's website.
The village clears all residential streets within the village's boundaries, according to the website. Wolf Road is maintained by the Cook County Highway Department, and Ogden Avenue, 47th Street and 55th Street are maintained by the state Department of Transportation.
