Bomb Threat Note in Mariano's Employee Bathroom Prompts Sunday Evacuation
A bomb squad K-9 found nothing after a building search.

Mariano‘s on Gilbert Avenue was evacuated Sunday, Nov. 9, after a bomb threat was reported.
Several other businesses in the area were also evacuated around 2:30 p.m., after a hand-written note found in a Mariano’s employee bathroom said there was a bomb in Mariano’s, according to Western Springs police.
Police and fire crews responded to the reported bomb threat, and a K-9 from the Cook County Bomb Squad searched the inside and outside of Mariano’s, but found nothing, according to Western Springs police. Mariano’s was open again around 4:40 p.m.
