Boy Trespasses On LTHS South Campus: Police

In another case, a woman is scammed out of $1,000 over the phone, authorities said.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – Western Springs police released their latest blotter Tuesday. Here is information from the reports:

Trespassing

  • A 15-year-old boy was cited about 8:30 p.m. Friday on a charge of trespassing. He came onto the property of Lyons Township High School's South Campus, 4900 Willow Springs Road, after previously being warned not to.

Scam

  • A resident in the 4100 block of Gilbert Avenue told police Oct. 9 that she was scammed out of $1,000 over the phone.

Damage

  • Someone damaged the men's restroom at Springdale Park, 5200 Caroline Ave. The damage was estimated at $200. The report was filed Oct. 9. On Oct. 13, it was reported that someone spray-painted graffiti in several parts of the park.

  • A 31-year-old Oak Lawn woman was cited about 9 a.m. Oct. 11 at Ogden Avenue and Wolf Road on charges of having no valid driver's license and driving without insurance.
  • A 29-year-old Maywood man was cited about 4:30 p.m. Oct. 11 at Ogden Avenue and Wolf Road on charges of driving with a suspended license and driving without insurance.
  • A 52-year-old Westmont woman was cited about 1 p.m. Thursday at Ogden Avenue and Wolf Road on charges of driving with a suspended license and driving without insurance.
