Car Strikes Western Springs House; Driver Taken To Hospital

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – A car collided into a house Wednesday in a Western Springs neighborhood, authorities said.

About 7:30 p.m., the car ended up entering the house in the 4400 block of Gilbert Avenue, police said.

Western Springs emergency response personnel removed the driver from the car and took the person to La Grange Hospital, according to a village news release.

First responders searched the home and found that no one else was involved in the incident, the village said.

Authorities determined it was safe to remove the car from the house.

The car was towed away, and the breach in the house was temporarily boarded up, police said.
