Cellissimo is excited about their upcoming concert at 7:00 pm on May 2nd in the First Congregational Church of Western Springs church sanctuary. The group will be performing fourteen pieces that range from Vivaldi to Michael Jackson’s Smooth Criminal. There is a lot of fast paced energy and some very beautiful haunting melodies as well. The Cellissimo members do the leading themselves, while their coaches Sally and Alex get to enjoy their music from the audience’s perspective. This group of advanced cellists is made up of fifteen post Book 6 students from both WSSTE and the NSS.
