D105 Dash Raises Over 13K For Area Schools
The money will be used to enhance the K-8 educational experience for students at District 105 schools.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — The annual D105 Dash 5k and 1.5 mile fun run was a success this year, attracting more than 325 runners. The district said the weather was a bit rainy the morning of the race, but runners were determined and raised money for the five schools that make up the district.
State Senator John Curran and House Leader Jim Durkin also attended the race, which was presented by Lindsey Paulus of Coldwell Banker. Curran and Durkin took part in pre-race activities, the district said.
“Rain, sleet or hail, this neighborhood will always get out to help support our kids and the district. We are so lucky,” race Committee Member Jami Buttron said while packing up boxes during the post-race downpour.
