December Is a Jolly Time for Children's Events!
Ford Library offers free programs for babies, toddlers, school-aged kids, and their families

Wednesday, December 10, 10-11 a.m. Baby Play Meet other parents and babies from birth to 2 years in this social play group. Guided activities will be provided to show adults how playing, singing, reading, writing, and talking puts their child on the road to reading success! No registration needed.
Babies born or adopted to parents in Western Springs can start out with a board book bearing their name and birth date on a special label, thanks to a new program at the Thomas Ford Memorial Library. The Friends of the Library will donate a book in honor of each pre-reader; to have your child acknowledged, fill out a paper form in the Youth Services Department of the Library or online at http://fordlibrary.org/kids/baby

Super Stolie Concert A Super Stolie show is a music-centered exhibition of creativity to explore and inspire the uniqueness and silliness in all of us! While the emphasis is on singing and dancing, this music show also offers a renaissance of art, encouraging children to pause the electronics and press play on their creativity and imaginations! Tuesday, December 16, 4:30-5:30 p.m. Lego Club Grades 2 -8: Join the Lego Club and be challenged! At each meeting you will be given a different secret building challenge. After building for 45 minutes, we will stop and write descriptions of our creations, which will be displayed in Youth Services. Register by phone or online.
Tuesday, December 30, 10:30 a.m.-12 noon Lego Play All ages: Come and build with our Legos and Duplos. Your creations will be displayed for your friends and family to see. No registration needed.
