Dist. 96 Looking To Fill Two Board Vacancies

Riverside Public School Dist. 96 has extended the application period to fill two school board vacancies to Sept. 10.

Interested applicants should submit a resume and cover letter outlining their reasons for wanting to serve on the D96 school board, including a vision for moving the district forward.

Applications may be submitted to Ms. Mary Rose Mangia, board president, at mary.rose.mangia@district96.org or to the Board of Education at boardofed@district96.org. Applications addressed to Mary Rose Mangia and delivered to the District 96 Administrative Office, 63 Woodside Road, Riverside, Illinois 60546 will also be accepted.

Requirements for candidates include:

• Be a United States citizen.

• Be at least 18 years of age.

• Be a resident of Illinois and the District for at least one year immediately

preceding the appointment.

• Be a registered voter.

• Not be a school trustee.

• Not be a child sex offender.

• Not hold another incompatible public office.

• Not have a prohibited interest in any contract with the District.
