Domestic Battery, Vandalism: Western Springs Cops

Local police officers respond to a domestic disturbance while it was in progress, according to a report.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – Western Springs police released their latest blotter Monday. Here is information from the reports:

Domestic battery

  • A 16-year-old girl of Western Springs was cited about 2:30 a.m. May 15 in the 1100 block of Birch Lane on a charge of domestic battery. Police said they responded to the incident while it was in progress.

Vandalism

  • Graffiti was spray-painted on the roadway in the 5700 block of Woodland Drive. The report was filed May 15.

Trespassing

  • A man tried to enter vehicles about 6 a.m. May 16 in a driveway in the 4000 block of Forest Avenue.

  • A resident in the 4200 block of Central Avenue told police May 16 that several lines of credit were fraudulently opened using the resident's information.

Hit-and-run crash

  • A woman told police Thursday that her vehicle was struck from behind in traffic while she was driving west on Ogden Avenue. The other driver left without providing information. The woman's hatchback and rear bumper were damaged.
