Donations Sought for Constance Morris House

As part of All Saint’s ongoing efforts in reaching out to those in need in the community we will be assisting Constance Morris House by collecting much needed supplies during the period of April 12, 2015 through May 17, 2015. Constance Morris House (CMH), a program of Pillars of La Grange Park, is a domestic violence shelter serving all of Lyons Township.

Constance Morris House offers:

• a safe haven, advocacy, and counseling for women and children

• individual and group counseling, therapy services, and linkage to ongoing support services such as emergency financial assistance and housing

• A 24 hour crisis line

Eighteen beds are available for female survivors of domestic violence and their children. The maximum stay allowed is 90 days. Services are available at no cost. CMH has served women and children in our community for more than 30 years.

CMH is in continual need of supplies and 90% dependent on donations. They have provided us a list of their current supply needs. The list includes household supplies, bath and body products, children’s games and toys, and selected food items.

On Sunday April 26, Jennifer Nye, Outreach Coordinator at CMH, will speak to All Saints about the shelter at the 10:30a service. All are welcome to join us for worship and to learn more about Constance Morris House and its programs.

A complete list of CMH’s “wish list” is below. Donations may be dropped off at any time (24/7) at 4370 Woodland in Western Springs - there is a donation bin outside of the red doors on Woodland Avenue.
