This year we are celebrating Earth Day with Toothless the Great White Shark, a life-sized great white shark made from 90% recycled plastic materials. Deanna LaSusa-Hotchner (volunteer interpreter and diver at Chicago’s John G. Shedd Aquarium) shares her knowledge about ocean life in a fun and educational way. It’s Deanna’s goal to “defang” shark myths, make people aware of their important place in the oceans and, ultimately, take action to protect sharks. Registration (required) opens February 27; limit 65. Please register all children and adults who plan to attend.
