Vie to Host Chefs and Cookbook Authors Megan and Colby Garrelts

On Monday, Oct. 15, chef Paul Virant will host a collaborative dinner in honor of Kansas City chefs Megan and Colby Garrelts and their cookbook, bluestem, the cookbook at Vie. The cost of the seven-course dinner is $150 per person, plus tax and gratuity and includes a copy of the cookbook. Optional wine pairings for the dinner are $40. Seating will be available between 5 and 9 p.m.


Chefs Virant and the Garrelts will be joined by the culinary talents of chefs Graham Elliot and Merlin Verrier of Graham Elliot, Grahamwich and GEBistro; Jason Vincent of Nightwood; Howard Hanna of The Rieger Hotel (Kansas City, Mo.); and chef de cuisine Nathan Sears of Vie. Elissa Narow, who is the pastry chef at Perennial Virant and Vie, will provide one of the dessert courses. Sous chefs include Amber Blatt and Dan Compton of Vie and Carlo Lamagna and Ed Sura of Perennial Virant. Each chef will prepare one course inspired by a dish from the pages of bluestem, the cookbook.
