Extreme Cold In Western Springs: What's Closed
Several libraries, refuse services and schools have announced closures due to the cold.
WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — Schools, services and other organizations will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 30 due to the historic and dangerous cold moving into the area. The village said village hall, recreation center, Grand Avenue Community Center and the Thomas Ford Library will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 30 in Western Springs.
As of 7 p.m. Tuesday, schools who have announced closures for Wednesday, Jan. 30 are:
- District 204 (Lyons Township High School)
- Kensington School of Western Springs
Republic Services will be suspending refuse and recycling services on Wednesday, Jan. 30, the village said. Collection will be delayed by one day for the rest of the week.
