Fake Job Offer, Bike Theft: Western Springs Cops
A woman gives her personal information after getting a fraudulent job offer, report says.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — Western Springs police released their latest blotter Tuesday. Here is information from the reports:
- A resident in the 3800 block of Wolf Road received a fraudulent job offer via email, for which she filled out forms disclosing her personal information. She also reported a fraudulent unemployment claim was made in her name in Indiana. She informed police Wednesday.
- A woman told police that her son's bicycle was stolen between Sept. 3 and Sept. 6 in the 4900 block of Willow Springs Road. It was locked to a pole between Lyons Township High School's South Campus and Garden Market.
- A resident in the 3900 block of Grove Avenue informed police Sept. 5 that two of her credit cards were used to make fraudulent purchases, and an account was fraudulently opened at her bank using her personal information.
- A resident in the 1300 block of 48th Street told police Wednesday that an account was fraudulently opened in her name at Wells Fargo Bank.
