Fake Receipt Presented At Western Springs Store: Cops
It was the only crime listed in the village's weekly blotter. No arrests were made.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – Someone presented a counterfeit receipt from a coin-cashing machine last week at Mariano's grocery store, 4700 Gilbert Ave., Western Springs police said.
The Coinstar receipt was for $417.41. Mariano's paid out the money, police said.
The incident was reported last Tuesday morning. The scam also happened at the Mariano's in Elmhurst, authorities said.

The police department has made five arrests since early August, according to weekly blotters.
