Garage Burglary, Car Break-Ins: Western Springs Cops
Electronics valued at $1,000 were stolen from an unlocked garage, police said

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – Western Springs police released their latest blotter Monday. Here is information from the reports:
Burglaries
- Electronics valued at $1,000 were stolen from a home's garage between Aug. 8 and Aug. 13 in the 5100 block of Grand Avenue.
- An unlocked car in the 4400 block of Howard Avenue was burglarized overnight Tuesday. Change and a pair of sunglasses were stolen. The estimated loss was about $20. The same night, another unlocked car in the same block was burglarized. A tool bag and a tablet were stolen. The loss was estimated at $800.
Trespassing

- A 15-year-old boy from La Grange was cited about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Lyons Township High School's South Campus on a charge of trespassing. He went onto school property after being warned.
Theft
- Two outdoor banner posts were stolen between 8 p.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. Wednesday from a property in the 5200 block of Wolf Road. The estimated loss was $90.
Identity theft

A resident in the 1400 block of Sunset Terrace told police Thursday she received a notification that several banking and financial institutions ran her credit or applied for internet-based banking. The crime was labeled identity theft.
