Get the scoop on college life

Annual College Fair is scheduled for Wednesday, April 11, from 6-8pm at the North Campus Fieldhouse

Lyons Township High School students will have an opportunity to get a glimpse of college life at the annual College Fair scheduled for Wednesday, April 11, from 6-8pm at the North Campus Fieldhouse, 100 S. Brainard Ave., LaGrange. Public and private colleges, as well as community colleges, will be available to help students and their families explore a variety of post-high school options.

Students can register at www.strivefair.com and avoid having to fill out information cards to “demonstrate interest” to schools and to receive information from those colleges. They will receive a barcode on their phone to use at the fair.
The College Fair offers students an opportunity to meet official admissions representatives – not alumnae or parents - from more than 250 schools who will be prepared to answer questions about admission requirements, strength of a program or major, housing, financial costs and aid, as well as fraternities, sororities, and athletics.
Counselors will be available throughout the evening to help students identify colleges that meet certain characteristics and direct students to colleges that offer specific majors.
At the event, families will have access to a map and an updated list of college representatives. The complete list of attending colleges can be found on the LT website: www.lths.net/CollegeFairInfo.
The parking lot at North Campus will be reserved for college representatives only. Parking will be available on the local streets and at South Campus with a shuttle running between South and North Campus continuously from 5:45 – 8:15 pm.
