Take on our fourth annual Winter Reading Challenge! Tweens-Adults who read three or more books before February 27 will earn a cozy scarf. Sign up online or in person.

Twice a year, your Library selects a book for the whole community to share. We offer free copies and will host a book discussion on February 25 at 7:30 p.m. For this year’s Winter Village Read, we’re proud to offer “America Is in the Heart” by Carlos Bulosan. Originally published in 1946, Bulosan’s autobiographical novel chronicles the life of a Filipino migrant laborer, from his family’s farm in the Philippines to his struggles in Alaska and California during the Great Depression. To complement the book, we’ll have an Intro to Filipino Cuisine on January 19 at 7 p.m. and a Film Discussion of "Islands" at 6 p.m. on February 12.

For more on this--and much more--visit in person and online: You belong here.
