Grand Avenue Preschools honored with Accreditation for 12th year

Grand Avenue is the only preschool accredited by the National Early Childhood Program Accreditation (NECPA) in the area.

Grand Avenue Preschools in Western Springs and the La Grange Highlands are proud to announce their recent re-accreditation by the National Early Childhood Program Accreditation (NECPA), an independent early childhood accrediting organization. This re-accreditation marks 12 years of accreditation for Grand Avenue Preschools. Grand Avenue is the only nationally accredited preschool by this organization in the area.

The accreditation process by the NECPA is rigorous and assesses quality in the areas of academics, adult and child interaction, cleanliness, safety, physical environment and school administration. Once a school is accredited, a re-accreditation is required every three years. “We are thrilled to once again receive our re-accreditation from the NECPA. The accreditation process requires a lot of work, but we want to provide our parents an independent seal of approval to assure them that Grand Avenue early childhood programs go above the norm,” said Mary Rizzardini, Director of the Western Springs location.

Grand Avenue Preschool offers academic programs for children ages two through Kindergarten. In addition, the school offers before/after school programs for children up to 5th grade. For 37 years, parents have trusted Grand Avenue Preschools as the important first step in their child’s education. Their program focuses on fully preparing children academically and socially for their elementary education years. Grand Avenue Directors are in regular contact with local area grade schools to use the same teaching tools as they do including Jolly Phonics© and Handwriting without Tears© to ensure a smooth transition to kindergarten.
