Grand Opening Planned For Spring Rock Park Playground

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — Western Springs Park District will hold a playground grand opening for Spring Rock Park on June 1. There will also be a picnic in the park following the grand opening.

The park district said the grand opening will take place at 10 a.m. with the picnic running from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

According to the park district website, a movie night will also be held at the park that day. "Despicable Me 3" will be shown starting at 7 p.m.

Future events at the park include a Teen Night on June 7.
