Party With 'Several Dozen' Guinea Pigs in Western Springs This Weekend

Western Springs residents are cordially invited this coming weekend to a "PigNic" in the name of everyone's favorite furry rodents.

Critter Corral Guinea Pig Rescue invites YOU to its annual "PIGnic" this coming weekend, where events will cater to both humans and guinea pigs.

The organization's annual fundraiser is set for Sunday, June 5 at Bemis Woods, Grove 5, on Ogden Avenue in Western Springs. Festivities start at noon and continue until 4 p.m., organizers said.

The annual PIGnic markes Critter Corral's most notable event of the year.

"We’ll have games for your guinea pigs, raffles for the people, merchandise for sale, and, of course, several dozen wonderful, adoptable guinea pigs looking for forever homes," event coordinators noted. "Is one yours?"
