Happy Mother's Day from the Thomas Ford Memorial Library!

The lovely lady in this photo is Edith Ford; she donated the property and paid for the building named for her husband, Thomas. The Library opened in 1932 and is now celebrating 85 years of serving its members. By member request, the Library began staying open on Sundays in summer four years ago, and is now open on Mother's Day and every Sunday, from 1-5 PM year-round. Located at 800 Chestnut Street in Western Springs, the Library is also open Monday-Thursday, from 9:30 AM-9 PM, and Friday and Saturday from 9:30 AM-5 PM, 65 hours a week--and always open at fordlibrary.org.
