The Helping Hand Center and Community Support Services Chosen as Charity Benefactors for Brew Moon Fest

Brew Moon Fest announces charity winners for event.

Brew Moon Beer and Band Festival’s Charity Selection Committee proudly announces The Helping Hand Center and the Community Support Services (CSS) have been chosen as charity benefactors for the 5th Annual Brew Moon Beer and Band Festival. Proceeds from the event will be donated to both charities.

Lyons Township based charities were invited to apply for consideration through the event’s new online application process.

The Helping Hand Center, located in Countryside, Ill., is a non-profit organization assisting persons with disabilities to achieve their greatest level of independence through quality programs and services. “Helping Hand Center is thrilled to be named one of the two charity benefactor’s for Brew Moon Fest. The support from the event enables our agency to continue to provide quality programs and services to people with developmental disabilities in our community. We are very fortunate to have so many people who truly give back to their local community. It’s such a fun event and we’re proud to be a part of it!” said Mary Beth Hepp, Executive Director of Helping Hand Center.

The Community Support Services (CSS) serves individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in and around the Brookfield community. “CSS is very pleased and honored to be part of the Brew Moon Beer and Band festival. The proceeds will help provide services for 791 families that we serve who have a loved one with an intellectual/development disability.” said Diane Farina White, President and CEO of CSS.

Palmer Place Restaurant, The McCook Athletic & Exposition (MAX), in partnership with the Kiwanis and Rotary Clubs of La Grange have teamed up to host the event on October 17, 2015. Brew Moon Fest is the largest indoor craft and import beer fest in the Western Suburbs. The event is held at the MAX, located on 4750 Vernon Ave, McCook Ill. “We are excited to team up with the Helping Hand Center and Community Support Service as our charity benefactors. It was a tough decision to choose from all the local organizations that applied. We have been able to make significant donations over the past years and we would like to thank the support of our sponsors, attendees, and local businesses who make this all happen.” said Steve Palmer, Chairman of event.
