Hit-And-Run, Theft: Western Springs Cops

A driver told police that another vehicle hit his car and then left.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – Western Springs police released their latest blotter Tuesday. Here is information from the reports:

Hit-and-run

  • A driver told police Friday that his car was struck by another car while he was headed east on Ogden Avenue, near Interstate 294. The man's car was damaged on the rear driver's side panel. The incident was labeled a hit-and-run.

Theft

  • A bicycle's front tire was reported stolen Friday at the train station, 914 Burlington Ave. The bike was locked at a rack.

Damage

  • The rear driver's side bumper of a car was reported damaged Aug. 24 while it was in the Mariano's parking lot, 4700 Gilbert Ave.
  • Ten wood panels of a fence were reported damaged Aug. 26 in the 4700 block of Central Avenue.

Identity theft

  • A resident in the 4500 block of Grand Avenue told police Aug. 28 that a fraudulent bank account was opened using her personal information.
