Home Repair Fraud In Western Springs: Cops
The man was arrested after doing no work in return for a $5,000 check, police said.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – A Des Plaines man was arrested last week on a felony charge of home repair fraud in Western Springs, police said.
In April, Tony Yobnovich, 60, who claimed to work for A1 Roofing and Construction, agreed to perform services for a resident in the 3900 block of Howard Avenue in Western Springs, police said in a news release.
Yobnovich was given a $5,000 check with the understanding that construction would start within a week of signing the contract, police said.

The work never started, and phone calls to Yobnovich went unreturned, according to the news release.
On Nov. 22, Western Springs detectives arrested Yobnovich in Des Plaines without any problems.
