Identity Theft, No Valid License: Western Springs Cops
The police took three reports about ID theft in the last week.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – Western Springs police released their latest blotter Monday. Here is information from the reports:
- A resident in the 400 block of Wolf Road told police Nov. 1 that fraudulent charges amounting to more than $300 have been made to PayPal using her credit card account.
- Someone used the Social Security number of a resident in the 5300 block of Grand Avenue to file a tax return. A report was filed with the police Thursday.
- A resident in the 3900 block of Western Avenue told police Thursday that an account with U.S. Bank was opened fraudulently using her information. She also received a credit card in the mail that she did not sign up for.
- Omar Luna-Lopez, 35, of Kankakee, was cited about 9:30 a.m. Thursday at 55th Street and Grand Avenue on charges of no valid driver’s license and speeding. He was released on bond.
Police report information is provided by local police departments. Charges are not evidence of guilt. They are a record of police actions on a given day, and persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
