Identity Theft, No Valid License: Western Springs Cops

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – Western Springs police released their latest blotter Monday. Here is information from the reports:

• A resident in the 400 block of Wolf Road told police Nov. 1 that fraudulent charges amounting to more than $300 have been made to PayPal using her credit card account.
• Someone used the Social Security number of a resident in the 5300 block of Grand Avenue to file a tax return. A report was filed with the police Thursday.
• A resident in the 3900 block of Western Avenue told police Thursday that an account with U.S. Bank was opened fraudulently using her information. She also received a credit card in the mail that she did not sign up for.
• Omar Luna-Lopez, 35, of Kankakee, was cited about 9:30 a.m. Thursday at 55th Street and Grand Avenue on charges of no valid driver’s license and speeding. He was released on bond.
