Internationally Acclaimed Breastfeeding Expert to Lead Lactation Program

Adventist Hinsdale and Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospitals are pleased to announce the association of internationally acclaimed breastfeeding expert Nancy Mohrbacher, IBCLC, FILCA.

Mohrbacher will lead the lactation program at the hospitals. She is the author of over a dozen books and hundreds of articles about breastfeeding. She is known for her informative and interesting presentations on the benefits and challenges of breastfeeding to families.

“When a baby is born, families deserve the most compassionate and up-to-date care,” Mohrbacher said. “I’m impressed with the hospitals’ commitment to excellence.”

In her leadership capacity, Mohrbacher will work with nurses, lactation consultants and counselors to integrate the latest evidence and practices regarding breastfeeding into the hospital-based programs.

The services are made possible through The Nurturing Nook, a clinic and boutique now open at Adventist Hinsdale Hospital. Mothers are seen on an outpatient basis five days a week by appointment, and insurance can be billed for the visit.
