Jewelry Stolen From 2 Western Springs Houses: Cops
In one case, diamond rings valued at $10,000 were taken, police said.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – Western Springs police released their latest blotter Monday. Here is information from the reports:
Stolen jewelry
- A house in the 300 block of 46th Street was reported as burglarized Sept. 26. The house was ransacked. The back door was left unlocked, and the security camera had been broken. Jewelry was stolen from a bedroom.
- Two diamond rings valued at $10,000 were stolen from a jewelry box in a house in the 1100 block of Hickory Drive. The report was filed Thursday.

- An unlocked car was burglarized overnight Wednesday in a driveway in the 1000 block of White Pine Lane. The car was ransacked, but nothing was stolen.
- An unlocked car was burglarized overnight Wednesday in a driveway in the 5000 block of Woodland Avenue. The car was ransacked, and a garage door opener was stolen. The garage was opened.
Converter theft
- A catalytic converter was stolen from a car parked in a driveway in the 5400 block of Central Avenue. The report was filed Tuesday.
