The Riverside Parks and Recreation Department is hiring for the following positions:
GENERAL SPORT/RECREATION INSTRUCTOR
GENERAL KINDER AGE YOUTH INSTRUCTOR/ASSISTANT
AFTER SCHOOL REC LEADER
EARLY MORNING GROUP FITNESS INSTRUCTOR
RPRD Instructor Responsibilities
Plan and implement a course curriculum for recreation, fitness and/or dance instruction. Provides both instruction and supervision for participants in a fun, positive and safe environment. Demonstrates proper techniques and skills in various areas of recreation, fitness or dance. Adapts programs to reflect differing levels of participant skill development.
Promotes sportsmanship and encourages creativity in participants. Communicates constructively with participants/parents, other employees and the community. Enforces and promotes safety guidelines for specialized activity. Resolve conflicts among participants if necessary. Issues and maintains an inventory of specialized equipment and supplies. Sets up and takes down any necessary equipment. Must be capable of instructing participants of various levels and abilities.
Positions are part-time. Pay is dependent upon experience and budget allowance.

FRONT DESK OFFICE ASSISTANT
Must be a responsible and reliable person with an Associates degree or higher, along with at least three years of office experience required, experience in Parks & Recreation strongly preferred. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to multi-task required. Excellent computer aptitude and skills required, and must be proficient with RecTrac, Illinois E-Pay System, Microsoft Office, etc. Attention to detail, accuracy and dependability are required, along with exceptional organizational and time management skills. Position is part time 29 hours per week. Pay is $14-$17 an hour, depending on experience.
