Holy Week is coming and we hope you will join us for Worship. Here is the schedule of events at the Presbyterian Church of Western Springs:
Sunday, April 13: Palm Sunday Worship at 9:30am
Join us for pomp and ceremony as we celebrate Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem.
Thursday, April 17: Maundy Thursday Worship Service at PCWS
6:30pm: Join us in the Jones Room for a simple finger-food potluck supper
7:15pm: Service of worship with communion and Tenebrae (shadows). Bring a cup of meaning for the celebration of the Lord's Supper. All are welcome at this moving time of quiet, solemn reflection.
Friday, April 18: Good Friday Worship at Highlands Presbyterian Church
7:00pm: For Good Friday, we'll be partnering with Highlands Presbyterian Church. The service will feature music from PCWS' and Highlands' combined choirs.
Saturday, April 19: Bunny Brunch from 9:45am to noon
You are invited to celebrate Easter at the Bunny Brunch! We start with a delicious brunch at 9:45am and then move on to Easter-themed crafts, stories and games. There will be a visit with the Easter Bunny and a chance to get your photo taken with him. We'll finish this fun morning with a traditional Egg Hunt, rain or shine. Tickets are $6 each and children age 2 and under are free. Please call the PCWS office at 708-246-5220 to reserve your tickets. This is a wonderful morning of Easter fun and your family will love it!
Sunday, April 20: Easter Sunday
On Easter Sunday, PCWS will be holding 3 Worship services.
6:02am: Wake up and celebrate Easter with our Easter Sunrise Service
We'll begin in the Jones Room, continue to the patio and the labyrinth, and stop at stations outdoors and indoors to remember and celebrate the first Easter morning. Stick around for brunch following in the Jones Room. It's a delightful tradition.
Join us for joyous music and Easter messages for children and adults at our other Easter Services:
9:00am and 10:45am
