A Kaleidoscope of Music

Western Springs Music Club program September 9, 2015

“A Kaleidoscope of Music” kicked off the 95th Season of the Western Springs Music Club. This program, held at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hinsdale on September 9th, was an engaging performance of classical music which included:

Michele Lekas (violin) and Nola Gustafson (piano) performing Wolfgang Mozart’s “Violin Concerto, No. 3 in G Major” and “Sonata for Violin and Piano, No. 6 in G Major”;

Flautist Karin Ursin and violinist Michele Lekas performing Wolfgang Mozart’s “Themes from the Magic Flute for Flute and Violin”;

A solo performance by pianist Nola Gustafson of Franz Schubert’s “Impromptu, Op. 90 No.2 in E flat Major”;

Zoltan Kodaly’s “Duo for Violin and Cello, Op 7” performed by Linda Veleckis Nussbaum (violin) and Steven Sigurdson (cello); and,
