Burglary and theft are often crimes of opportunity. Please, lock your homes, garages, and vehicles. Don’t leave valuables out where a thief has easy access. Don’t leave expensive items - bicycles, strollers, power tools, etc. - unattended. Lock bicycles or put them inside a locked enclosure (garage or shed). Ladies, don’t leave your purses in the shopping cart in the store or hanging on the back of the chair in restaurants where a thief can help him/herself to your wallet. Don’t allow strangers or repair people into your home or give them unsupervised access to parts of your home.
