Lion newspaper lands gold at convention
Lion amassed several individual awards, and the newspaper's website won a Silver Distinction award for its online newspaper excellence.

Lyons Township High School's student newspaper, Lion, won a Golden Eagle trophy at the Northern Illinois School Press Association (NISPA) convention at the College of DuPage, signifying the highest award for overall journalism excellence among NISPA members. Lion amassed several individual awards, and the newspaper’s website won a Silver Distinction award for its online newspaper excellence.
Fourteen LT students placed in 11 individual contests, with five Blue Ribbons and six Honorable Mentions.
