Lost Wallet Leads To Western Springs Arrest: Cops
Police discovered that a man seeking his wallet had a warrant for his arrest.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – Western Springs police released their latest blotter. Here is information from the reports:
Lost wallet
- A 36-year-old Lemont man went to the Western Springs police station to retrieve a lost wallet about 4:30 p.m. July 16. Officers discovered he had an arrest warrant in DuPage County. He was released.

- A resident in the 3900 block of Garden Avenue told police July 16 that someone forged and cashed several of the resident's checks. The checks totaled $4,450.
Identity theft
- A resident in the 4200 block of Johnson Avenue told police Friday that someone opened a credit card in the resident's name. No monetary loss was reported.
- A resident in the 4400 block of Franklin Avenue told police Friday that someone fraudulently used his checking account to make multiple payments. The loss totaled $1,156.
