Loud Music Again, Identity Theft: Western Springs Cops

Police cite a resident for the second time on a charge of disturbing the peace.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — Western Springs police released their latest blotter Tuesday. Here is information from the latest police reports:

  • A resident in the 5500 block of Heritage Court was cited about 10:30 p.m. Saturday on a charge of disturbing the peace. The neighbor was playing loud music and refused to turn it down. The previous Saturday, the resident was cited on the same charge.
  • A resident in the 5400 block of Wolf Road told police Jan. 3 that a fraudulent check for nearly $3,000 was issued in his name.
  • A resident in the 4300 block of Western Avenue told police Jan. 4 that fraudulent transfers totaling $6,000 were made from her bank account to a Zelle account.
  • A resident in the 5300 block of Caroline Avenue told police Jan. 4 that an attempt was made to open a fraudulent account at Wells Fargo Bank in her name.
