LT Football Victory a Finalist for CN100 "Game of the Year"
Fans can vote for the Lions' thrilling victory over York featuring Jake Elliott's second game-winning kick, which goes up against a few other dramatic Chicagoland games.
The Lyons Township Lions football team's on Oct. 7 is one of five finalists for the Comcast CN100 network's Chicagoland "Game of the Year," selected from the 18 games CN100 broadcast this year.
Fans are invited to vote for the finalists at this location; the winner of the fan poll (which runs through Nov. 20) will be featured in a "special rebroadcast" later in November.
In the thriller upset against the offensive powerhouse York, which went back and forth down to the last second, rookie junior kicker Jake Elliott shocked the home crowd by delivering a through the uprights as time expired, just six days after from 52 yards.

The competition, however, is fierce.
Among the other candidates for Game of the Year are Joliet Catholic's 32-31 opener win over Carmel with a 75-yard touchdown pass at 0:35 left in the game, and Larkin reclaiming the Town Jug from Elgin by stopping a 2-point conversion at 0:12 left. Four of the five games feature dramatic finishes, and the fifth has an explosive fourth-quarter comeback.

Once again, you can vote (preferably for LT, but it's up to you!) at the CN100 home page (bottom right). As of publishing, the LT game is way in last place, but a force of votes could turn that around.
