LT Paraprofessionals organize giving tree

Lyons Township High School Paraeducators have organized a Giving Tree, collecting gloves, scarfs and hats for the homeless in the LaGrange area. Their collection drive continues until December 18. Paraeducators Vicky Cernetig (pictured above) and Sharon Wierema have been instrumental in the project and recently went to one of the area soup kitchens and helped served plus gave gloves and hats away to those who needed them. To date, they have collected 135 pairs of gloves, 86 hats, 25 scarves, seven headbands/ear muffs, three slipper socks and hand warmers. Donations of new items may be dropped off at either North or South Campus Main Office by December 18.
